Job Summary:
Carv is on a mission to unlock the enjoyment of better skiing by using AI and real-time feedback to help skiers improve their technique. They are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to drive the development of their Android app, focusing on creating a seamless and powerful user experience.
Responsibilities:
• Own the Android experience from architecture to implementation
• Work closely with designers and product managers to create intuitive, high-performance interfaces
• Implement real-time coaching features powered by AI and sensor data, and test these on the ski slope
• Stay on top of industry trends and Android advancements and adopt the latest best practices
Qualifications:
Required:
• Demonstrated ability to design and build a best-in-class Android experiences
• Expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Relentless bias for action
Preferred:
• A passionate skier, beginner skiers welcome
• Experience with Rust or other backend languages such as Go, Python, or C++ with an interest in learning Rust
