IT Help Desk Engineer | Full-Time Position

Heritage Senior Living is currently seeking an IT Help Desk Engineer to join our corporate support team located in West Allis, WI!

As one of the country's industry leaders, we provide exceptional senior care and services throughout Wisconsin. Heritage Senior Living's goals are to enhance residents' quality of life and to continue its growth and success. Our plan is to open one to two new senior communities per year and develop centers for excellence that provide comfort, care, quality and specialized dementia services. 

The Help Desk Engineer is responsibilities include resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support. You will use email and chat applications to give clients quick answers to simple IT issues. For more complex problems that require nuanced instruction, you will contact clients via phone and/or provide clear, written instructions and technical manuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responding and logging to Helpdesk Emails & Phone Calls
  • Set up workstations (Laptops, Desktops, Printers, etc.)
  • Setup Mobile Devices (iPhones, Android) & MDM software
  • Setup Tablet Devices (iPads, Android)
  • Add/Remove users in Active Directory, Office 365, Sharepoint, and other software
  • Train and Assist new users on how to use the computer, and software services we provide them
  • Develop training materials/manuals and facilitates information systems training
  • Check computer hardware (HDD, mouse’s, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
  • Setup & Assist in Audio & Visual needs when needed (Projectors, TV’s, PowerPoint, Conference Calls)
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications (Ex. Printer, Copier, Check Scanning drivers & software)
  • Researches and remains current with I.T. trends, system information changes/updates and recommends improvements as needed
  • Assist in developing and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance & create procedures in case of an emergency
  • Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages

  • Ability to visually see reading materials, monitors, paper logs, etc.  Ability to see up to 50 feet.
  • Attendance/punctuality: must be able to work 8 to 12-hour days
