TRG is adding another resource to our team in Memphis, TN! We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support one of our customers in and around four of their locations in the Memphis area.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated and open to taking on new challenges as they present themselves.  They are a people person who can be an effective liaison between the company and the customer, finding the best possible solution for both parties.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of wireless network architecture and troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding industrial mobile computing operating systems including Android and Windows CE.
  • Basic understanding of industrial mobile computing hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of barcode data collection including symbologies, hardware, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Must have familiarity with EPC RFID data collection and hardware.
  • Basic understanding of barcode printing technologies.
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing.
  • Basic understanding of terminal emulation and session management software.
  • Ability to develop expertise in terminal emulation software and session management.
  • Basic understanding of mobile device management software and procedure.
  • Ability to develop expertise in various mobile device management software.
  • Ability to assess critical outages and quickly determine resources needed for resolution.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of experience troubleshooting, mobile computing hardware, and/or software experience.
  • Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to recognize situations/operations with potential for improvement and to identify, develop, present, and propose possible solutions.
  • Self-motivated - ability to work diligently for the success of TRG and the client’s business interest without constant supervision.
  • Willingness to take on challenges and to continually adapt to new requirements through research, learning, and growth. Adaptability and flexibility is required.
  • Deep sense of business ethic and fairness - architect must advocate for client at times and for TRG at times.
  • Ability to interact with people of all backgrounds with respect.
  • Ability to accept critical feedback with a positive attitude. Willingness to admit to mistakes.
  • Ability to calmly handle pressure situations which involve restoration of critical operations.
