Job description

Site Manager 

Location: Pasadena, CA 
Employment Type: Full-Time 
Construction Type: Commercial Lighting Retrofits 
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee projects from contract award through closeout. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of construction while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 

Our Construction Managers serve as key customer-facing leaders and play a critical role in delivering exceptional project outcomes. Energyficient provides ongoing training, leadership development, and proven management systems to support employee success and career growth. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage projects from contract execution through final closeout. 

  • Coordinate pre-construction planning, scheduling, labor, and resources. 

  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules. 

  • Maintain compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations. 

  • Conduct jobsite quality control inspections and verify compliance with project specifications. 

  • Monitor project budgets, labor requirements, and production goals. 

  • Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. 

  • Resolve project challenges and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. 

  • Ensure accurate project documentation, reporting, and closeout procedures. 

Qualifications 

Required Skills 

  • Experience in construction management, electrical construction, or related fields; lighting retrofit experience preferred. 

  • Strong knowledge of construction operations, job specifications, contract requirements, and labor planning. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and SnapCount. 

  • Strong leadership, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively supervise subcontractors. 

  • Experience using iPads, Android devices, and other field technology. 

  • Ability to walk large job sites and remain active for extended periods. 

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development within the lighting and controls industry. 

Education 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required) 

  • Associate degree or related coursework (preferred) 

Experience 

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction management experience. 

  • Commercial electrical construction experience strongly preferred. 

Additional Requirements 

  • Valid driver's license. 

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening. 

  • OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of employment.

Compensation 

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on qualifications, industry experience, and geographic location. Performance-based bonus opportunities may also be available.
