Job description

At Digital Turbine, we make mobile advertising experiences more meaningful and rewarding for users, app publishers, and advertisers - intelligently connecting people in more ways, across more devices. We provide app publishers and advertisers with powerful ads and experiences that captivate consumers, fuel performance, and help telecoms and OEMs supercharge awareness, acquisition, and monetization. In a rapidly evolving industry, we are constantly innovating and creating better paths of discovery to connect consumers, publishers, and advertisers across the mobile ecosystem.

Please note that Digital Turbine is a hybrid work environment-only candidates local to the posting location will be considered.

We're always on the lookout for great engineering talent! We want to learn about your passion and skills, and find the best match for you. Join our talent community by applying here, and let's stay connected for active and future roles.
The Role

At Digital Turbine, we make mobile advertising and discovery experiences more meaningful for users, app publishers, and advertisers - intelligently connecting people across more devices than anyone else in our space. Our on-device footprint, Ignite, ships with hundreds of millions of devices through the world's leading OEMs and carriers, and is the foundation of our strategy to maximize the value of our on-device presence.

As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll build and harden the SDKs and on-device services that power app delivery, discovery, and monetization at carrier and OEM scale. This is a high-impact role on a small, autonomous team that owns its products end to end - from design through release, monitoring, and on-call. Your work directly supports our FY27 goals of reducing installation failures, enabling dynamic app delivery, and extending our on-device presence into alternative distribution.

About the Senior Mobile Engineer Role
  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance Android SDKs and on-device services (with iOS work as our cross-platform footprint grows), focusing on reliability, footprint, battery, and security

  • Drive down install and delivery failures - improving package-manager reliability, dynamic app-delivery (ASR), and recovery paths across a highly fragmented device and OS landscape

  • Partner with OEM and carrier integration teams to ship features that operate within tight platform, privacy, and resource constraints

  • Extend on-device surfaces that power alternative distribution and brand-on-device experiences, a key pillar of DT's FY27 roadmap

  • Own the full lifecycle of what you build: instrumentation, alerting, rollout strategy, A/B experimentation, and on-call for your services

  • Raise the bar on code quality through reviews, automated testing, and tooling, and mentor other engineers on mobile best practices

About You as the Senior Mobile Engineer
  • 8+ years building production mobile software, with deep expertise in Android (Kotlin/Java) and a working command of native internals; iOS (Swift/Objective-C) experience is a strong plus

  • Strong grasp of asynchronous programming, concurrency, memory and battery profiling, data structures, and mobile design patterns

  • Experience shipping SDKs, libraries, or framework-level code consumed by other developers - not just app features

  • A track record of operating what you build in production at scale, including monitoring, debugging field issues, and staged rollouts

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, autonomous, outcome-oriented team that treats its product like a mini-startup

Nice to have
  • Experience with AdTech, mobile measurement/attribution, or on-device ML inference.

  • Familiarity with OEM/carrier pre-load constraints, Android system apps, or device-management contexts.

  • Exposure to alternative app stores or in-app purchase / payments flows.

About Digital Turbine:

Digital Turbine (NASDAQ: APPS) powers superior mobile consumer experiences and results for the world's leading telcos, advertisers and publishers. Our end-to-end platform uniquely simplifies the ability to supercharge awareness, acquisition and monetization - connecting our partners to more consumers, in more ways, across more devices.
