In this highly active role, you will walk the warehouse floor to provide critical Tier 1 hardware and software installation, maintenance, and rapid break-fix repair to keep our high-volume logistics operations running seamlessly. Your time will be dynamically split between maintaining specialized warehouse equipment—specifically Zebra label printers and RFID handheld scanners (60%)—and supporting desktop PCs, connectivity, and telephony systems (40%). By managing the daily incident ticketing queue each morning, collaborating with System Administrators on facility upgrades, and maintaining meticulous asset and e-waste records, you will directly prevent operational downtime. • On-the-Floor Troubleshooting: Actively walk the warehouse floor to provide immediate, face-to-face technical assistance to personnel, ensuring proper operational efficiency of all systems.
  • Installation & Asset Maintenance: Install, de-install, configure, and upgrade computers, software applications, and peripheral equipment. Maintain an accurate inventory of computer hardware, parts, and maintenance/repair records, while preparing legacy equipment for proper e-waste recycling.
  • Daily Incident Management: Monitor and manage the local ticketing queue first thing every morning, prioritizing and resolving critical hardware and software incidents ASAP to prevent operational downtime.
  • System & Facility Collaboration: Perform routine account unlocks and basic troubleshooting workflows using internal platforms like WMOS. Coordinate occasionally with external vendors, the Telecomm team to support telephone equipment, and System Administrators to assist with server equipment changes.
  • Operational Availability: Work reliably within a Monday through Friday work schedule (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM).

Qualifications:

  • Technical Support Experience (Must-Have): 1–2+ years of proven, on-premise technical support experience focusing on hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and break-fix workflows.
  • Specialized Hardware Expertise (Must-Have): Direct, hands-on experience troubleshooting, configuring, and repairing Zebra Label Printers and RFID handheld scanners.
  • Operational Availability (Must-Have): Absolute reliability and commitment to working Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Physical Mobility & Lifting (Must-Have): Ability to move around easily, walk frequently across an expansive warehouse environment, and safely lift or move computer/peripheral equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Soft Skills (Must-Have): Exceptional customer service orientation, strong multitasking abilities, and crisp people/communication skills.
  • Technical Qualifications (Strong Plus): An Associate Degree in a technical field or active certifications such as CompTIA A+ and/or MCDST.
  • Ticketing & Systems Knowledge (Strong Plus): Experience utilizing enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, Remedy, SolarWinds) and hands-on familiarity supporting Dell computer systems.
  • Language Skills (Strong Plus): Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse operations workforce.

Personal Attributes:

  • Highly Reliable & Disciplined: Exceptionally dependable with a strong commitment to strict schedule adherence, consistent attendance, and supporting the broader team.
  • Quick Learner: Able to rapidly absorb new technical workflows, system layouts, and specialized warehouse software under minimal supervision.
  • Resilient Under Pressure: Calm, level-headed, and efficient when troubleshooting critical hardware failures during high-volume operational windows in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: Thrives when multitasking across varied technical tasks, from active physical repairs to maintaining pristine documentation and asset records.

What's In It For You?

  • Comprehensive Health: Premium Medical, Dental, and Vision plans designed to keep you and your family healthy and thriving.
  • Financial Security: Secure your future with our 401(k) retirement plan (including a discretionary company match) plus company-provided Basic Life and AD&D Insurance.
  • Work-Life Balance: Take the time you need to recharge with generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and a full schedule of paid Holidays.
