Company Overview

At Safety Plus Inc., we believe worker safety is a basic human right. We empower businesses with innovative SaaS technology and technology-enabled safety services, ensuring every worker returns home safely. Our mission is to simplify modern safety and transform how organizations protect their peopleโ€”because failure is not an option.

As the trusted leader in safety management, we are redefining workplace safety through advanced real-time insights, automation, and expert consulting. Our commitment to customer-first solutions, continuous innovation, and data-driven safety programs enables our customers to reduce risk, increase compliance, and build a stronger safety culture.

Position Summary
A Safety Plus Safety Manager is part of a team that is responsible for driving long-term client success by providing leadership and expertise to enhance client safety performance year-over-year. This role serves as a strategic advisor and operational partner to clients by understanding each clientโ€™s unique operational pressures, risk tolerance, and business objectives to develop practical and sustainable safety solutions. Leveraging Safety Plusโ€™s established operational guidelines, the Safety Manager will work to progressively improve client safety cultures and staying within agreed service boundaries all while fostering continuous safety enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Manager for EdgePro Services will work closely with clients to assess, design, and enhance safety management systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Client Enablement & Safety Leadership
    • Engage with clients to understand their specific needs, operational pressures, and values, tailoring safety strategies to meet them where they are while guiding improvement at a valued pace.
    • Facilitate regular safety reviews and advisory meetings to discuss goals, update safety plans, and address emerging risks.
    • Develop and monitor client-specific performance metrics that provide insight into safety progress and identify areas for growth.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance Management
    • Conduct on-site evaluations to identify hazards and report findings to client leadership.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of client-specific safety management systems, aligned with Safety Plusโ€™s operational guidelines and compliance standards.
    • Lead training and workshops to empower client staff and safety teams, transferring knowledge and fostering best practices for sustained safety advancements.
  • Continuous Improvement & Program Advancement
    • Analyze trends from safety audits, incident reports, and other data sources to drive corrective actions and preventive measures to achieve incremental safety improvements.
    • Collaborate with clients to create structured paths toward elevated safety standards that supports a culture of accountability and progressive improvement.
  • Strategic Planning & Program Management
    • Provide strategic oversight of safety initiatives aligning client safety programs with their operational objectives and Safety Plusโ€™s standards.
    • Develop compliance schedules and calendars to support clients in meeting regulatory deadlines and staying ahead of compliance requirements.
    • Act as a liaison between Safety Plus and clients ensuring consistent communication and mutual alignment on safety goals.
    • Monitor client health for retention purposes โ€“ be an advocate for client needs while working within our services delivery requirements.
    • Perform administrative and program management activities necessary to support client compliance efforts, including compliance reminders, policy and program reviews, meeting follow-up, and maintenance of client documentation.

Why Join Safety Plus?

At Safety Plus, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across manufacturing, construction, industrial, warehousing, transportation, and energy sectors. Rather than supporting a single employer, you'll partner directly with business leaders across multiple organizations to solve complex safety challenges, improve compliance, and drive meaningful safety performance improvements.

This role is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing change, solving operational challenges, and making a measurable impact on workplace safety. Our team combines practical field experience, business understanding, and regulatory expertise to help clients make safe work sustainable.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations with experience applying these in diverse client settings. Knowledge of USDOT, MSHA, Industrial Hygiene, and Online Prequalification (Avetta/ISNetworld) requirements, or the ability to quickly learn and apply them as needed.
  • Skilled in data analysis- capable of identifying trends and translating insights into actionable safety improvements.
  • Take ownership of assigned client relationships by maintaining a strong understanding of each clientโ€™s operational environment, priorities, risk profile, and service needs while coordinating internal teams to deliver meaningful and timely support.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills, including professional report writing, objective and defensible observation language, business review presentations, and the ability to develop clear action items and practical recommendations. Demonstrate professionalism and clarity in written communication, including client-facing emails and follow-up correspondence.
  • Strong technology aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize software platforms, safety management systems, CRM/task management tools, and related technologies. Demonstrates disciplined organizational habits through accurate documentation, scheduling, follow-up, and task management across multiple clients and projects.
  • Even-tempered, resilient under pressure, and able to work effectively with individuals at all levels to foster positive and collaborative relationships.
  • Able to independently assess client questions and operational concerns, identify missing information, ask targeted follow-up questions, and develop practical, risk-based recommendations aligned with regulatory requirements and client operational realities.
  • Self-directed and resourceful with the ability to independently research unfamiliar regulatory, operational, and compliance topics, synthesize findings from credible sources, and provide accurate, actionable guidance to clients in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates strong business and risk awareness with the ability to evaluate client risk tolerance, operational pressures, and organizational maturity to recommend practical and sustainable safety solutions.
  • Strong critical thinking and operational awareness with the ability to balance regulatory compliance, practical field application, and client business realities. Avoids a โ€œcheck-the-boxโ€ approach by focusing on meaningful risk reduction and sustainable program improvement.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with disciplined documentation habits, accurate recordkeeping, and the ability to effectively prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience managing safety programs, safety departments, or serving in a similar safety leadership role with demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree preferred.
  • Relevant safety, operational, military, industrial, or leadership experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Professional Certifications

  • Drive measurable improvements in safety performance through proactive guidance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Effectively manage multiple client accounts while maintaining accurate documentation, follow-up, and communication.
  • Contribute to the growth and reputation of Safety Plus as a trusted safety partner.

    • Manufacturing, Construction, Industrial, Mining, Warehousing, etc
  • This role requires travel approximately 50% of the time to support client needs. Roughly half of travel may require overnight stays depending on client location and project requirements.
  • Combination of field-based client support and office-based work, including client site visits, safety evaluations, report writing, program reviews, compliance tracking, client follow-up, and ongoing client communication.
