Job Summary

Visually examines and/or gauges glassware and packs in cartons or attends automatic equipment to insure conformance to specification. Holds ware back or stops the line if not visually inspecting the ware. Packs acceptable ware in cartons and may have to install required internal packaging requirements. Responsible for unjamming and restarting all automatic inspection equipment. Also checks for partition damage from automatic case packer.

Main Position Responsibilities

Places ware off or on lines as necessary. Un-jams equipment such as conveying lines, inspection equipment and case packers as necessary. Prepares paperwork such as production tally sheets. Performs other work as assigned by the Supervisor and may have to work in other departments as needed.
