What is an ANCC?

ANCC stands for the American Nurses Credentialing Center, which provides certification for nurses in various specialties. An ANCC-certified job typically refers to positions that require or prefer candidates with ANCC credentials, such as nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, or nurse executives. These certifications demonstrate expertise and commitment to high standards in nursing practice.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the ANCC position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an ANCC-certified nurse (American Nurses Credentialing Center), you need an active nursing license, strong clinical experience, and specialized knowledge in your certification area. Proficiency with healthcare technology, electronic health record systems, and specific protocols related to your specialty is often required. Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership abilities help you excel within interdisciplinary teams. These skills are crucial for advancing patient care quality, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and supporting professional development.

What career advancement opportunities are available for ANCC-certified nurses?

ANCC-certified nurses have access to a wide range of professional growth opportunities, including eligibility for higher-level clinical roles, management positions, and specialized clinical educator or consultant roles. Many healthcare organizations recognize ANCC certification as a mark of excellence, which can lead to increased responsibilities, higher salaries, and enhanced leadership opportunities. Additionally, maintaining certification often involves continuing education, keeping nurses at the forefront of best practices in patient care. Pursuing further ANCC credentials in additional specialties can also broaden career prospects and flexibility within the field.

Job description

Description:

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants: Serve Veterans and Earn Thousands Per Month

Efficient, High-Pay Contractor Opportunity

Contract with our leading clinician-owned and led health company today! The Warrior Vets Medical Services team provides exemplary general medical services. We deliver in-person care to current and former US Military veterans. Our team is currently seeking nurse practitioners and physician assistants to assess our veteran population.

We pay up to $150 per hour; you will receive compensation for each evaluation. We remit payment within 45 days of encounter documentation in our user-friendly EMR.

Typical Appointments

In-person appointments consist of general medical evaluations at one of our partner facilities. Evaluations are performed once per veteran and typically take 30 to 90 minutes. There are no ongoing treatment needs for these veterans; it is a one-time encounter.

Our current need is 3 days per week.

We efficiently schedule a series of evaluation appointments that last no more than a total of eight hours on each of those days.

No Administrative Tasks Required

Our back-office support team handles all administrative work, including contracting with the Veterans Administration, liaising with contractors, and payment. This approach allows you to spend your time where it should be: with your patients.

Note: The evaluations are general medical evaluations, not disability evaluations.

Requirements:

· Unrestricted state medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice

· Education and training in a US-accredited, post-baccalaureate (Masters) course of study

· Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or certification by the ANCC or AANP

· 2+ years of post-graduate primary care experience

· Established collaborating physician (if required by your state)

Part-time positions available.

Our part-time clinicians will work as independent contractors.

We offer:

· Work/life balance

· Superior payment
