About This Program
As a PMO Tools Administrator intern, you'll sit at the intersection of enterprise technology and project delivery - directly supporting Tyson's IT Value Management Office by administering the tools that power how we plan, track, and govern our technology investments. You'll work alongside experienced IT leaders, vendor partners, and business stakeholders.
In This Program, You Will
  • Administer and configure PMO tooling - primarily Clarity PPM and Jira - including user provisioning, workflow configuration, project structure, and reporting setup
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for end-user support, troubleshooting tool issues and fulfilling configuration requests across the IT organization
  • Liaise with external tool vendors (including Broadcom/Clarity and Atlassian) to escalate support tickets, coordinate product updates, and document resolutions
  • Assist with data quality initiatives - auditing project records, resource allocations, and portfolio data to improve reporting accuracy for IT leadership
  • Contribute to documentation and training materials for PMO tools, including user guides, onboarding resources, and process runbooks
  • Support the PMO team's portfolio reporting cycles, helping aggregate and validate data used in executive and board-level communications
  • Participate in developmental activities including one-on-one feedback sessions, senior leader networking, and cross-functional team collaboration

  • Concepts: IT portfolio management, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, ITSM, vendor management, enterprise reporting

What It Takes
  • Currently pursuing a master's degree in Information Systems, MIS/BIS, Computer Science/Engineering, Business Administration (with an IT/systems focus), or a related field, with at least one semester of coursework remaining
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts - familiarity with PMO methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid) preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - comfortable engaging with both technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple support requests
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and process discipline
  • Prior experience with Jira, Clarity, or any enterprise PPM or ticketing tool is a plus - but not required; we'll teach you what you need to know.
