Position Summary

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Scientist I – Analytical Chemistry to support pharmaceutical product development through analytical testing of raw materials, finished products, and stability samples. This role is ideal for an early-career analytical chemist with experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated laboratory environment who is looking to further develop their technical expertise.

The successful candidate will perform analytical testing, support laboratory operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the development of high-quality pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical testing and release of raw materials and finished products in support of internal product development.

  • Conduct stability testing on pharmaceutical samples using approved analytical methods.

  • Generate accurate laboratory data and document results in accordance with cGMP, GLP, and internal laboratory procedures.

  • Identify, investigate, and communicate out-of-specification (OOS) or unexpected analytical results.

  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory instrumentation.

  • Support laboratory safety initiatives and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.

  • Assist with laboratory inventory management, ordering supplies, and general laboratory housekeeping.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research, development, and quality objectives.

  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety policies, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, or another related scientific discipline.

  • 1–2 years of relevant analytical laboratory experience with a bachelor's degree,

OR

  • Advanced degree with 0–1 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or other GMP-regulated laboratory environment.

  • Working knowledge of cGMP and GLP requirements.

  • Strong foundation in analytical chemistry principles.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following analytical techniques is highly preferred:

  • High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

  • Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS)

  • Gas Chromatography (GC)

  • Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)

  • UV-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis)

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.50 per hour
