Job description

The role supports the company approach to managing data by reinforcing sound data governance practices and establishing consistent, high-quality data products across the organization. It combines hands-on data engineering work with an ability to understand business needs and deliver insights that are practical, reliable, and actionable.
Salary Grade (13)  77,432 - 98,727 - 120,022

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Data Engineering & Architecture

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data marts, and warehouse structures with medium complexity to support analytic needs.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, views, and transformations to ensure efficient and reliable data delivery.
  • Develop automated data verification in support of data governance policies.
  • Identify and remediate data quality issues, and gaps through root-cause analysis and process improvements.
  • Actively participate in data governance and data strategy initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Create and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytics using enterprise data tools.
  • Gather and document business requirements to build technical analytic and data solutions.
  • Perform quality assurance testing on analytic and data solutions prior to production release.
  • Support business users by providing guidance on data usage.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure reports and dashboards effectively support decision-making.

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, reporting, or business intelligence.
  • Strong experience writing and performance tuning advanced SQL and working with relational databases.
  • Experience with data modeling and ETL development.
  • Experience using business intelligence reporting tools, such as Cognos, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and analytics best practices.
  • A Data & Analytics Engineer II is a resource on the Data Management Team that is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data solutions while also delivering high-quality reports and dashboards for business stakeholders. This position ensures that data pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics assets are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
