A growing organization is seeking a Senior BI / Analytics Engineer to help build and scale a modern data and analytics ecosystem. This role will focus on designing and maintaining scalable ELT pipelines, data models, semantic layers, and executive-level dashboards using modern cloud data technologies.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in dbt, Snowflake, Power BI, and modern ingestion platforms, with a strong foundation in data modeling, analytics engineering, and business intelligence best practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesSemantic Layer & Data Modeling
  • Develop and maintain semantic layers supporting operational and executive reporting
  • Create dimensional and subject-area data models aligned to business functions including CRM, sales, marketing, finance, operations, compliance, and customer support
  • Standardize KPIs, metrics, calculations, and business definitions across reporting environments
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions
Data Transformation & ELT Orchestration
  • Design, build, and optimize dbt Cloud transformation models including staging, core, and mart layers
  • Implement automated testing frameworks for schema validation, data quality, and business logic
  • Manage dbt Cloud job scheduling, orchestration, and deployment workflows
  • Ensure reliable ingestion-to-transformation-to-delivery pipelines
Snowflake Administration & Optimization
  • Configure and manage Snowflake warehouses, roles, permissions, and resource monitors
  • Optimize warehouse performance, scalability, and cost management
  • Configure and maintain connectors and integrations with operational systems
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline and query performance issues
Data Ingestion & Integration
  • Configure and maintain Fivetran connectors and ingestion pipelines
  • Support API-based ingestion processes where needed
  • Monitor connector health, schema drift, and incremental loading processes
  • Maintain integrations across multiple enterprise systems and data sources
Analytics & Dashboard Development
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI
  • Build advanced DAX calculations, semantic models, dataflows, and row-level security configurations
  • Deliver analytics solutions supporting Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams
  • Provide end-user training and documentation to support adoption and governance
Data Quality & Governance
  • Implement automated monitoring, alerts, and data quality controls
  • Maintain lineage and documentation across analytics and transformation platforms
  • Perform data reconciliation and troubleshooting across multiple source systems
  • Support governance, consistency, and reporting accuracy initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in BI Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Dashboard Development, or ELT-focused roles
  • Deep hands-on expertise with dbt including modeling, testing, documentation, and orchestration
  • Strong experience with Snowflake administration, optimization, and performance tuning
  • Advanced Power BI experience including:
    • Semantic modeling
    • DAX development
    • Dataflows
    • Row-Level Security (RLS)
    • Governance best practices
  • Experience with Fivetran connectors and API-based data ingestion
  • Strong SQL development and dimensional data modeling skills
  • Experience integrating and reconciling data from platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, QuickBooks, and call-center systems
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Python, C#, or other programming languages
  • Exposure to Azure data services, Functions, or API Gateway technologies
  • Background supporting financial services, regulated industries, or compliance-focused environments
  • Experience with Power BI administration and enterprise governance
