MD Analytics is looking for a motivated Research Associate to join our team.


The Opportunity: Research Associate based in the Greater Montreal Area


Working with a team in Montreal, you will be responsible for providing proactive day-to-day management of multiple ongoing market research projects while gaining experience and developing your career in market research. We're looking for someone who regularly communicates openly, is comfortable asking questions, and can take initiative by proactively contributing to ongoing project management. This is an entry-level role on an established team that is looking for someone who is interested in learning, contributing to the overall success of the team and company, and building a career in market research.

Reporting to the Associate VP, you will be responsible for market research projects throughout the project lifecycle. Key areas of focus include quality control for scripting, managing fieldwork, creating data table / analysis plans, overseeing the set-up of data tables and coding, doing basic statistical analyses, and report development.

MD Analytics is a leader in remote work and has had its employees work fully remote since 2017. Candidates for this position must be comfortable working from home full-time while adequately managing potential distractions and be willing to engage in an established remote work company culture.

The Ideal Candidate: Requirements and Experience


  • Knowledge of research and statistical methods
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage time
  • Experience working with quantitative research methodologies considered an asset
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare-related marketing research considered an asset
  • A university degree is required; a focus in marketing, health sciences, statistics, or other relevant discipline is preferred
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Proven skills in critical thinking, attention to detail, and meeting or exceeding deadlines
  • Fully bilingual (English/French)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; familiarity in SPSS, R or other equivalent statistical software packages

Located in the greater Montreal area, this position is home-office based with local-office in-person events every 2-3 months, and a company-wide in-person event annually. This specific role is only open to candidates living within the Greater areas of Montreal. Other areas in Canada may be considered depending on skill level.
