VALTEQ, Inc. is a specialized technology firm proudly serving the U.S. civilian and defense sectors. We are laser focused on delivering IT program management, enterprise solution development, cloud services, software, hardware, and specialized defense products to our clients. We are currently looking for a highly qualified Junior Business & Data Analyst with a strong data analysis and reporting background to support a Federal Client in Colorado.

REQUIREMENTS

·       U.S. Citizenship required

·       Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust clearance

·       Subject to a background investigation for federal employment suitability

·       Selective Service registration required for males born after 12/31/1959

·       Must reside within daily commuting distance of client site, or be willing to relocate, and be able to go to office in-person 100% of the time

WHAT YOU’LL DO

·       Support day-to-day operations by connecting business needs with IT solutions, using basic programming, data integration, and technology tools.

·       Help design, build, and maintain recurring, ad-hoc, and settlement data reports, dashboards, and operational artifacts for project teams and leadership.

·       Work with senior staff to implement new workflows into current operational tools and help train team members on new processes.

·       Validate, clean, and analyze data to keep records, spreadsheets, and reporting accurate and reliable for decision-making.

·       Gather business and technical needs and turn them into clear user stories, workflows, and functional specs for IT and process improvement initiatives.

·       Help facilitate meetings and workshops to capture operational pain points, and review existing workflows to spot gaps or inefficiencies.

·       Help track project tasks, action items, risks, and meeting notes to keep initiatives moving forward.

·       Work alongside technical and business teams during testing, troubleshooting, and solution rollouts.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE:

·       1 - 3 years of experience in business analysis, data management, project coordination, or process improvement

·       Prior experience in a technical or operational environment is a plus

·       Experience collaborating with both technical and business teams preferred

·       Basic familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or general software development life cycles (SDLC) is a plus

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

·       Hands-on familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

·       Basic software programming skills and familiarity with data integration techniques

·       Exposure to project tracking tools (like Microsoft Project) and workflow/ticketing platforms (like Jira or ServiceNow)

·       Experience with data entry, data validation, requirements gathering, and process mapping

·       Basic understanding of reporting dashboards, settlement reports, and core business metrics

·       Interest in or exposure to Lean, ITIL, or Agile concepts is a plus

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail

·       Ability to stay organized and balance multiple priorities in a structured workplace
