  • Support process improvement activities utilizing statistical process control (SPC) techniques and experimental designs.
  • Support materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes, including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development.
  • Support process and design improvements through Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), lessons learned, and defect analysis.
  • Provide equipment and process training to manufacturing operators, ensuring alignment with materials and process requirements.
  • Support production with on‑site responsiveness to factory equipment, process, materials, and product problems.
  • Factory production execution support includes developing and implementing well‑controlled processes using data‑driven methods such as SPC and DOE and writing shop process documentation.
  • Develop and execute new product builds typically with automated equipment, often requiring creative solutions for next‑generation product designs.
  • Process improvement projects to improve factory productivity through new technologies, new materials, and equipment down‑selection and integration.
  • Effective cross‑functional communication of technical information.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (unless prohibited by local laws).
  • Experience in one or more of the following thin film processes: metal deposition, sputtering, laser drilling, photolithography, plating, wet chemical etching.

Pratt & Whitney has a long history of leadership and innovation in the field of aviation propulsion. Our story begins in the 1920s and has flourished throughout the decades. We have continuously transformed and reinvented our businesses to offer superior products and services to our customers. In 1925, the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company was founded by Frederick B. Rentschler, pioneer of the air-cooled radial engine design which enabled unprecedented power-to-weight ratio. Its first engine, the R-1340 Wasp engine, transformed military and commercial aviation and is still in use today. In 1928, the Canadian division of the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company was established. In 1944, Pratt & Whitney began its gas turbine and jet propulsion initiative. The company constructed a wind tunnel, laboratory and engineering center to support our allies’ efforts in World War II.
