Overview:

Our client is seeking a Development Operations & Database Manager to oversee the organization's CRM platform, data operations, reporting, and customer database strategy. This newly created position offers the opportunity to bring a critical business function in-house while partnering with leadership to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, building reports, managing CRM systems, and leading process improvements while supervising a small support team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary administrator for the organization's CRM platform and customer database

• Maintain data integrity through ongoing audits, data cleanup, and quality assurance initiatives

• Develop reports, dashboards, and data analyses to support strategic decision-making

• Build customer segments, mailing lists, and targeted communication lists

• Import, export, and manage large datasets while ensuring data accuracy

• Develop and document standard operating procedures for database management and operational workflows

• Partner with multiple departments to support reporting, customer engagement, and operational initiatives

• Monitor key performance metrics and identify trends to improve business outcomes

• Supervise and mentor a support team member responsible for daily database operations and customer record maintenance

• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex customer account or database issues

• Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes and database management practices

Preferred Experience:

• 3+ years of CRM administration, database management, or development operations experience

• Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Blackbaud, DonorPerfect, Raiser's Edge, Bloomerang, EveryAction, Virtuous, or similar customer relationship management systems

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions

• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and customer segmentation strategies

• Strong understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and database best practices

• Experience supervising or mentoring team members preferred

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
