Analysis Intern information

What does an analyst intern do?

An analyst intern supports data collection, analysis, and reporting to help teams make informed decisions. They often use tools like Excel, SQL, or data visualization software and may assist with research, preparing presentations, and learning industry-specific processes.

Is 30 an hour good for an internship?

For an Analysis Intern, earning $30 an hour is considered above average for internships, which typically pay between minimum wage and $20 per hour. This rate may reflect specialized skills, such as data analysis or proficiency with tools like Excel or SQL, and could indicate a competitive or paid internship in a professional environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Analysis Intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Analysis Intern, you need a solid grasp of data analysis, critical thinking, and quantitative skills, often supported by coursework in statistics, economics, or related fields. Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI is typically required. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a willingness to learn set exceptional interns apart. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering actionable insights, supporting team projects, and developing professional analytical abilities.

What types of projects and tasks can I expect to work on as an Analysis Intern?

As an Analysis Intern, you can expect to support data collection, data cleaning, and basic quantitative or qualitative analysis for ongoing projects. You'll often assist more senior analysts with preparing reports, visualizations, and presentations, and may participate in meetings to discuss findings. Interns frequently collaborate with team members from various departments, gaining exposure to different business functions and analytical techniques. This hands-on experience helps build foundational skills and can lead to greater responsibilities as you demonstrate your capabilities.

Is 23 an hour good for an internship?

For an Analysis Intern, $23 an hour is above the federal minimum wage and generally considered competitive for internships in many industries, especially if it includes relevant skills development and mentorship. However, internship pay varies by location, industry, and company size, so it's important to compare with local standards and the internship's responsibilities. Factors such as workload, learning opportunities, and future prospects should also be considered beyond hourly rate.

How much does Analysis Group pay interns?

Analysis Group typically pays interns a competitive hourly rate, which can vary based on location, education level, and experience. Interns often receive between $20 and $40 per hour, with some programs offering stipends or additional benefits depending on the internship duration and role. Compensation details are usually provided during the application process or on the company's careers page.
