Requirements
Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of rides and attractions to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Complete maintenance logs, inspection checklists, and repair reports accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with operations teams to address ride downtime and ensure timely reopening of attractions.
- Assist with ride installations, commissioning, and decommissioning as needed.
- Follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures as required by OSHA and internal policies.
- Support seasonal events and special projects such as Peppermint Parkway and other COTA experiences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain compliance and enhance technical skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or amusement ride maintenance preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events
Physical Demand & Work Environments:
- Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
