Job description

AMTS is hiring Electrical Inspectors (Licensed Electricians) for our semiconductor project in Manassas, VA. You must have Journeyman Electrician license and inspection experience in industrial environments, strong knowledge NEC and safety codes, ability to troubleshoot electrical/ control systems if needed, perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems. You should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Site Electrical systems and their relationship to other systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair electrical equipment in semiconductor fabs.
  • Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems.
  • Troubleshoot motor and control systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems.
  • Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
  • Able to track hours in the field and to assess earned value; coordinate prefacilities readiness check lists.
  • Able to resolve technical construction questions in the field.
  • Able to communicate with trades (speak language of the trades). Technically skilled to act as the interface between trades, the designers and the tool owners; need to understand tool drawing set for the corresponding functional area, to solve field contraction issues.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active electrical journeyman license
  • You shall have past experience in starting up & commissioning equipment, systems, generators, and switchgear.
  • Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be disciplined, taking leadership and ownership of tasks and able to complete tasks to schedule and priority.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to work effectively across disciplines, work groups and with contractors to complete tasks and objectives.
  • Excellent understanding of local and national codes all of its applications and exceptions in the national electrical code and compliance.
  • Thorough knowledge of industrial installation practices.
  • Must be able to work in a professional environment.
  • Must be able to schedule and manage multiple inspections and understand schedule priorities as required.
