Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Robotic Maintenance Technician to support the troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of robotic and automated manufacturing systems in an aerospace and defense environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems, along with the ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation. Experience with FANUC robotic systems and automated production equipment is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain robotic and automated manufacturing equipment.

  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic cells, weld systems, conveyors, and fixtures.

  • Support FANUC robots, including alarm recovery, teach pendant operation, and basic programming changes.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC logic, and technical manuals.

  • Install and troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, servos, and industrial wiring.

  • Assist with equipment startups, commissioning, and new product introductions.

  • Maintain maintenance records and spare parts inventory.

  • Follow all safety and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining robotic or automated manufacturing systems.

  • Hands-on experience with FANUC robots preferred.

  • Knowledge of PLCs, industrial controls, and electrical systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.

Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Electrical Technology preferred.

  • FANUC robotics or industrial maintenance certifications are a plus.
