Ampm Gas Station Jobs (NOW HIRING)

The Gas Station attendant is the first point of contact for our gas station customers and we're looking for talented new attendants/cashiers to join us at our Fontana location for part time/full time shifts - now hiring for morning shifts, Afternoon shifts and Night shifts - IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY - you may apply online or come in person to fill out an application.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age. • High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential Job Functions: • Provide high-quality customer service in accordance with our company standards. • Operate computerized cash register and debit card scanner inside the cashier area, completing customer transactions as well as properly maintaining a cash drawer. • Receive, verify and stock delivered merchandise and place in appropriate storage area. • Perform daily inventory counts, as applicable. • Assist customers with pump issues and propane. • Receive gas delivery from our fuel distributor/tanker truck. • Clean fuel or oil spills from parking area using absorbent materials. • Perform safety inspection of tanks and pumps once per day, checking gaskets, locks, etc. • Maintain and clean various areas of the gas station to include but not limited to restrooms inside convenient store, parking perimeter and dispensers. Job duties and responsibilities may vary by location and employees may be assigned additional duties than those listed above. Must have flexible schedule and ability to work on weekends and Holidays.

You must be capable to take on high volumes of customers while attending to other daily tasks that can include lifting up to 25 lbs, preparing hot food, cleaning, stocking, and all the while being friendly. Applicants with FOOD HANDLING CERTIFICATE and REFERENCES are preferred.

Practicing suggestive sale is continual as well as ID checks for alcohol and tobacco sale that are automated. Sales are made quickly and efficiently to move traffic inside and outside gas fill-ups. When entering the vicinity there is a sense of organization, high pace procedures in stocking, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and making sure shelves and racks are free of dust-buildup.

Security, Robbery, and theft deterrence is practice all the time. Reporting to the sheriff department for robbery, theft, or removal of any business hinderance. Follow company policy with regard to excessive cash. Be alert to shoplifting prevention procedures.
