Title: Non-IT Business Analyst
Location: Jersey City, NJ 07311 (100% Remote)

Roles and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will serve as the Sanctions Screening SME, explaining the design and purpose of Fircosoft screening platforms and watchlist filtering flows, and performing data analysis, reporting, and support for enhancements to BSA/AML and sanctions‑screening systems.
Act as Sanctions Screening SME, clearly articulating screening processes and system flows to stakeholders.
Partner with Technology to stay current on Fircosoft and related platform updates.
Manage Screening program initiatives from a technology perspective.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to enhance applications and improve operational and technical efficiency.
Develop process maps, data‑flow diagrams, and use cases for the sanctions program.
Ensure documentation remains current as systems evolve.
Drive definition of data, logic, and ruleset requirements for screening systems.
Work with business, technology, and QA teams to define, communicate, and test functional requirements.
Translate complex concepts into clear documentation.
Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Analyze and visualize customer, product, and transaction data to identify trends and risk changes.
Produce MIS reports for senior management.
Apply quantitative and statistical methods to support tool development.
Stay informed on emerging analytical techniques, data sources, and technologies that support BSA/AML risk mitigation.
Serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and recommending solutions to support strategic objectives and operational improvements.
Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis. Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.
Translate business needs into functional specifications for development teams. Support testing, training, and deployment of new systems or enhancements.
Facilitate communication between business users and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation to support decision-making.
 
Skills:
Experience with business analysis, requirements gathering, and process mapping.
Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies.
Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Visio, JIRA, or Tableau.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
