Job description

Job Summary:

  • Seeking a Senior Telecom Network Project Manager to lead delivery of wireless and network communications initiatives supporting large-scale AMI/Smart Grid programs. This role will manage end-to-end telecom workstreams, including cellular, mesh, WAN/backhaul, carrier connectivity, cloud integration, and vendor coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of telecom and wireless network solutions.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with engineering, IT, cybersecurity, field operations, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive network architecture alignment across enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and operational technologies.
  • Support vendor evaluations, RFI/RFP processes, technology assessments, and solution recommendations.
  • Develop executive presentations, project status updates, and strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines.


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of project/program management experience in telecommunications, wireless networks, networking, or infrastructure delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of Cellular, Mesh, FAN, WAN/Backhaul, IoT, and wireless communication technologies.
  • Experience managing large, cross-functional programs with multiple vendors and system integrators.
  • Strong risk management, planning, execution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and executive audiences.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AMI, Smart Grid, Utility Communications, or Telecom Infrastructure programs.
  • 3GPP wireless technology experience and exposure to Tier-1 wireless carriers.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements for telecom and wireless networks.
  • Experience with vendor selection, contract negotiations, and executive-level reporting.
