Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) Equipment Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
Micron is seeking highly motivated AMHS Equipment Technicians to support the operation and maintenance of automated robotics systems within a cleanroom environment. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring equipment performance, performing error recovery, and conducting repairs. You'll collaborate closely with equipment engineers and tool vendors to ensure optimal tool functionality. Technicians will also review tool performance data, schedule and implement preventative maintenance, and apply mechanical, electronic, and software fixing skills to address equipment issues. Success in this role requires a strong sense of dependability, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to Micron's core values: People, Innovation, Tenacity, Collaboration, and Customer Focus.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair mechatronic systems, including overhead transport systems and wafer handling equipment
Fix and repair AC/DC circuits applying a DMM and schematic diagrams.
Strong mechanical proficiency with the ability to understand and repair robotic, mechanical, and electrical systems
Analyze system operations with diagrams, dismantling, adjusting, rebuilding, and reassembling equipment based on blueprints and manuals.
Apply Microsoft Office tools to manage tasks, document work, and support team communication.
Optimally navigate sophisticated problem-solving scenarios by prioritizing tasks and balancing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate the ability to follow established procedures and work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining high standards of productivity and quality.
Communicate clearly in writing and speech, manage time effectively, and follow procedures with minimal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
associate degree or equivalent experience
Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off),and overtime as needed to support business operations.
Maintain compliance with cleanroom protocols by consistently wearing fab-specific garments to prevent product contamination and occasionally appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, and hard hats as the need arises.
2+ years' experience AC/DC circuits, including fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronic components and circuits
Preferred Requirements:
Associate degree in relevant technical fields such as Mechatronics, Electronics, or Robotics and/or 2 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience.
2+ years' experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience.
2+ years' experience in leading projects related to manufacturing equipment maintenance and improvement, with a focus on meeting scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Experience and/or curiosity about developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
