About the Role
The Pre-Licensed Therapist provides mental health treatment services within a school-based Full-Service Partnership (FSP) program serving youth ages 5-21 and their families. This role focuses on delivering individual, group, and family therapy while promoting client independence and family empowerment. The therapist works collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to support emotional, social, educational, and vocational development, while utilizing evidence-based practices in a community and school-based setting.
Responsibilities
• Provide crisis intervention and consultation related to treatment services
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults
• Assist clients in developing educational and vocational goals and plans
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and program development
• Conduct counseling and therapeutic interviews to support client growth and insight
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Evaluate client data to determine appropriate treatment approaches or referrals
• Maintain HIPAA compliance, ethical standards, and professional boundaries
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and follow up on counseling outcomes
• Provide consultation and education to schools, community organizations, and agencies
• Support linkage to intensive interventions for mental health crises, trauma, or depression
• Facilitate educational classes such as parenting, anger management, or domestic violence
• Provide on-site therapy services within school settings
• Meet monthly productivity requirements of 100 hours or as assigned
• Transport clients as needed using personal vehicle
• Participate in on-call or after-hours responsibilities as assigned
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions
• Perform administrative and additional duties as required to support the program
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution
• Registered as Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working with mental health clients (inpatient or outpatient)
• Direct clinical and case management experience with knowledge of rehabilitation philosophy
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate computer proficiency
• Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance
