Job Opportunity: Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Our organization is on the lookout for exceptional pediatric anesthesiologists to deliver anesthesia services at our Children's Hospital. Ideal candidates should be board-certified or board-eligible in anesthesiology, have completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology, and hold or be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.

Position Details
  • Specialties: Pediatric, acute pain, liver transplant, cardiac
  • Schedule: Daytime coverage, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • On-call: In-house from 5:00 PM to 7:30 AM; beeper call from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Supervision: CRNA supervision with a target of 2:1 concurrency
  • Team: Comprising 40 anesthesiologists and 28 CRNAs
  • Academic Appointment: Yes

About Our Children's Hospital

Our Children's Hospital is a 313-bed acute care teaching facility located in the Lawrenceville area of Pittsburgh. It is recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally for its excellence in treating pediatric conditions and diseases, pioneering new therapies, and training future pediatricians and subspecialists.

The hospital consistently ranks among the top pediatric hospitals, including recognition on the U.S. News & World Report's annual Honor Roll. It is one of only 6% of hospitals nationwide to achieve Magnet Recognition status from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

As a leader in advanced technology, our hospital was the first pediatric facility in the U.S. to receive Stage 7 recognition from HIMSS Analytics for its electronic medical records. Additionally, it has been acknowledged by KLAS as the top pediatric hospital for healthcare information technology utilization.

We offer clinical services across more than 40 specialties, including comprehensive cardiac care at our Heart Institute and pediatric transplantation at the Hillman Center for Pediatric Transplantation. Our facility features 14 operating rooms, six of which are equipped with state-of-the-art minimally invasive technology.

The Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center at our hospital is one of the few NIH-funded centers dedicated to pediatric research, while the John G. Rangos Sr. Research Center supports a rapidly expanding pediatric research program.
