About the job Class A CDL Driver - New Drivers Welcome
American Driver is hiring CDL A drivers in Wilmington, NC. Wilmington sits at the southern end of I-40 on the Carolina coast - a strong starting point for drivers running Eastern OTR lanes with freight moving up and down I-95 and the Atlantic corridor.
New drivers are welcome. If you have your Class A CDL and have completed your school hours, a fully paid training program is ready for you.
Training:

  • 4-6 weeks fully paid with a dedicated mentor
  • Live freight from day one - real loads, real routes
  • ELD, HOS, inspections, and daily operations all covered
  • Weekly pay throughout training
  • Solo at $0.56 CPM after completion
What the Job Looks Like:
  • No-touch dry van freight
  • About 60% drop and hook
  • 2,200-2,500 miles per week
  • Eastern routes with consistent year-round freight
  • Day and night dispatch
Pay:
  • $0.56-$0.65 CPM based on experience
  • Most drivers earn $1,200-$1,500 weekly
  • Stop, layover, and breakdown pay included
  • Six-month pay increase
  • $300 orientation pay
  • Weekly direct deposit
Home Time:
  • Every two weeks on a planned, consistent schedule
Equipment:
  • Assigned Freightliner or Kenworth (2022-2025)
  • APUs on all units
