The Role
AMD is committed to driving innovation that powers the world's most advanced cloud and data center solutions. We are seeking a Cloud Product Manager who will own forward-looking CPU TCO modeling and transition planning for AMD's top global cloud accounts in the U.S. and China.
The Person:
In this role, you will work directly with the business development team to understand the key future requirements needed to win at AMD's key hyperscale and cloud service provider accounts to align AMD's roadmap across key swim lanes such as General Purpose (GP), High Performance Computing (HPC), Storage, Edge, AI, and emerging verticals. You will benchmark AMD's competitiveness against Intel and ARM roadmaps and convert those insights into Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) that guide AMD's next two generations of products while working with AMD's product team to align next generation product feature requirements.
This is a role requiring strong business acumen, technical depth, and executive presence to build trusted partnerships with AMD product and engineering teams to directly influence AMD's future product definitions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own account-specific TCO model transitions for N+1 and N+2 generations, working closely with top U.S. and China cloud providers.
  • Lead customer conversations to uncover workload priorities, rack-level economics, and adoption drivers across swim lanes (GP, HPC, AI, storage, etc.).
  • Benchmark AMD solutions against Intel and ARM offering the same timeframes to frame AMD's value proposition.
  • Translate external findings into structured MRDs that define product features, configurations, and competitive positioning for each account.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within AMD, influencing product planning, architecture, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Present insights and recommendations to both AMD senior leadership.
  • Build a strong knowledge base of long-term roadmap requirements across AMD's cloud customers and ensure EPYC offerings meet next-gen infrastructure needs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience in cloud infrastructure strategy, customer-facing business development, or competitive CPU/server positioning.
  • Ability to engage at both executive and technical levels with customers.
  • Skilled at building bridges between customer requirements and internal product planning
  • Proven experience engaging with hyperscale cloud providers or large-scale SaaS/PaaS operators in strategic or technical business roles.
  • Strong expertise in rack-level TCO modeling, data center economics, and CPU server architectures.
  • Familiarity with competitive Intel and ARM roadmaps and their impact on workload economics.
  • Track record of influencing product strategy and roadmap alignment through external partnerships.
  • Exceptional executive communication, customer engagement, and storytelling skills.

Academic Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced technical degree preferred).
