Job Summary

  • Reporting to the Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy Manager, this role is responsible for delivering and supporting clinical ambulatory pharmacy services across Saint Joseph Health System. The Ambulatory Care Pharmacist is committed to providing excellent patient care, optimizing clinical outcomes, and delivering exceptional customer service.

  • This position plays an active role in promoting departmental excellence, maintaining high standards of quality and satisfaction, and contributing to team development. The pharmacist also assists leadership in selecting, developing, and supporting a high-performing clinical team.

Job Specifications & Core Competencies

Education

  • Requires knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a PharmD (preferred), or a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, or successful completion of a foreign pharmacy equivalency exam. Residency preferred but not required.

Licensure

  • Must hold a valid Indiana pharmacist license or be a graduate of an accredited school/college of pharmacy with current Indiana licensure as a pharmacy intern.

Experience

  • Candidate has PGY-1 and PGY-2 Residency Training with emphasis on Ambulatory Care. In lieu of residency training, candidates have five years or greater pharmacist experience in the ambulatory care setting. BCPS or BCACP Certification preferred.
