Job description

Description The Ideal Candidate The Warehouse Associate participates in the daily activities and operations of the Distribution Center. You will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. How You Will Make an Impact Consistently at work and on time with overtime required at peaks Picking, packaging, and scanning of orders accurately Utilization of computer, WMS systems and/or hand-held computers to receive/process daily tasks Processing, shipping, and auditing of orders Receive, unload, place, and audit inventory appropriately Complete inspections as required, utilizing confirmation samples Stocking and restocking bin locations Performing multiple tasks within warehouse environment that could vary daily, weekly, or monthly as assigned by Team Leader or Manager Ability to cross-train in other areas Maintains safe and clean work environment by sweeping, dusting and mopping to keep shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat and clean Ability to push/pull/lift up to 45 pounds Associates are required to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend at the waist, stoop, reach, grab, push/pull with hands/arms for 8 to 10 hours per day Ability to work individually as required and stay focused to complete tasks Strong Quality and Customer Focus ensuring that order deadlines and customer needs are met Experience and Skills You'll Need to Have High School Diploma or equivalent 6 months warehouse experience preferred but not required Working knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while being detail-oriented Reliability and dependability are essential Ability to read, comprehend and retain work-related information Ability to work well with others and to contribute to the overall success of the team Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from managers, teammates, etc.
