Job description

Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.
We are looking for multiple Warehouse Associates to receive, sort, and organize incoming orders, equipment, and product. This position is responsible for assisting the moving and organization of product to maximize efficiency for each event. The Warehouse Team will work with the Concessions and Culinary Teams to organize and identify items, prepare distribution, double check inventories, and help distribute product for event days.
Mississippi State University is a large campus in the heart of Mississippi where the Bulldogs reign supreme. Football games bring in 65,000 adoring fans while baseball games bring in 16,000 fans to cheer on their College World Series Champs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the operations of the concessions warehouse
  • Assist with the receiving of shipments, monitoring inventory, and sorting product
  • Check product in by comparing shipment to order invoice
  • Help organize large deliveries multiple times per day
  • Organize the prepared food storage
  • Operate food-service equipment in a safe manner
  • Stores, labels, and dates all food items in accordance with health code and the Culinary Team's instructions
  • Receiving Finished Product from Kitchen, safely storing in compliance with Proof and Health Department procedures, inventorying each item to meet production numbers.
  • Pull and Organize locations stock in accordance with Culinary and Concessions pull sheets, communicating shorts to leads
  • Plan to fill shorts and or day of menu items and execute distribution of items to locations
  • Clearing Storage Locations post-event, inventorying excess product, separating returns from donations
  • Cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of the walk in coolers and freezers, loading dock area, and dry storage.
  • Works with Culinary team to line up donation company for post-event, oversees process and communication

Performs other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Specialized Skills:
  • Experience in a high volume food distribution role is needed, work in stadiums, arenas, concerts, and large-scale event centers are comparable to this role
  • ServSafe certified is preferred
  • Familiarity of invoices and managing inventory
  • Comfortable commuting to Starkville, MS

Work Environment
This position is often outside on the loading dock or working in storage areas that can be refrigerated or for frozen storage. This role is highly physical with an emphasis on organization and moving products in a fast-paced work environment. This position may utilize a golf cart, hand carts, and pallet jacks.
Physical Requirements
  • This role requires standing and moving for long periods of time.
  • This position requires lifting boxes, equipment, and food product.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times and group lift up to 75 pounds
