Job description

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL – we do business as: Olathe Millworks, Warren Brother Sash & Door, River City Millworks respectfully.)

Position: We are growing and seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator. The Material Handler is responsible for a variety of warehouse duties, including receiving, unloading, and storing material, as well as picking and loading products for our customer orders.

Your Day-to-Day: to crush it in our warehouse, you'll need to:

  • Offload trucks with materials from our vendor and load trucks with product to ship to our customers.
  • Operate a forklift; forklift operator experience and certification are a plus!
  • Take ownership for maintaining inventory counts with your work area.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure that material loaded for delivery matches customer orders.
  • Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies
  • Lift extremely heavy, awkward products (up to 50-100 pounds with a helper) repeatedly to store and load onto a truck.
