Catering Delivery Driver Jobs – $22.00+/HR | Airline Catering & Airport Operations | Portland, OR

Location: Portland, OR 97218 (Portland International Airport Area)

Full-Time | Immediate Openings | Weekly Pay

Now hiring dependable Catering Delivery Drivers to support airline catering and airport operations at Portland International Airport (PDX). This position is responsible for transporting meals, beverages, equipment, and airline supplies directly to assigned aircraft while ensuring exceptional customer service to airline crews. Drivers are trained to become the lead member of a two-person aircraft catering team within approximately 12 weeks.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License (Class C)

  • Safe driving record

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers

  • Ability to follow all work rules and regulations

  • Flexibility and ability to react to changing priorities

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to work under extreme pressure

  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required

  • Ability to work in extreme heat and/or cold environments

  • Ability to work outside in daily weather conditions

  • Ability to walk, stoop, bend, and stand for an entire shift

  • Ability to consistently lift up to 75 lbs

  • Ability to push up to 70 lbs using rolling carts and lift up to 30 lbs

  • Ability to safely handle dry ice

  • Ability to safely operate 16' and 20' high-lift trucks

  • Ability to use fingers and hands to handle equipment

Security & Screening Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Pass a criminal background check

  • Pass an airport/TSA background check

  • Pass a 10-year FBI criminal background check to obtain an airport SIDA/AOA badge

  • Pass a drug test

  • Pass a basic written test

  • Pass a basic driving skills test

  • Follow all Ramp, AOA, Safety, and Security Rules and Regulations

Job Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of a team to ensure the highest quality products are delivered to airline customers

  • Maintain effective communication between management and airline customers

  • Interface with flight attendants while providing outstanding customer service

  • Interact with Customer Service team members to solve problems and resolve issues

  • Check catering equipment and food items before delivery to airlines

  • Drive trucks and load aircraft in compliance with company, airport, and airline safety regulations

  • Maintain a professional appearance

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Catering Delivery Duties

  • Check that assigned flights are complete

  • Load equipment onto delivery trucks

  • Drive trucks to aircraft

  • Load aircraft galleys according to customer guidelines

  • Offload dirty equipment

  • Place dirty equipment and trash in designated areas

  • Complete airline trolley carriers

  • Build soda, water, and equipment drawers

  • Organize station areas

  • Perform other duties assigned by management
