Job description

Innovation is at the core of what we do. We believe that by removing and reducing the barriers that prevent people from taking their medications, we can help customers conveniently get the medications they need, when they need them and take them as prescribed.
We have provided customers with the ability to find transparent and simple pricing, receive 24/7 customer service support, and have their meds delivered to their doorsteps while creating programs and products that embody our mission and position ourselves in becoming the world's safest and fastest online pharmacy.
The Regulatory Operations team at Amazon Pharmacy is hiring a Regulatory Risk Manager with a strong eye for detail and a passion for compliance. As a Risk Manager, you are responsible for driving audit readiness across the organization

You will safeguard Amazon Pharmacy's compliance posture by owning and managing the end-to-end relationship with accrediting bodies. You will serve as the organization's subject matter expert on accreditation standards: coordinating due diligence reviews, interpreting evolving accreditation standards, and partnering cross-functionally to resolve compliance gaps with urgency. This role also serves as a peer mentor for new team members and supports team training and development.

Successful candidates bring a proactive, detail-oriented approach combined with exceptional stakeholder management skills to navigate complex regulatory landscapes at scale. The Regulatory Risk Manager is agile and has the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Key job responsibilities
Act as the intermediary between Amazon Pharmacy and external partners, i.e., Accreditation Agencies, Consultants, and Vendors.
Own completion of the accreditation audit including evidence compilation, policy submission, personnel preparation, logistics coordination, and onsite review facilitation.
Internal monitoring of operational processes to ensure Amazon Pharmacy's compliance with accreditation standards.
Manage lifecycle of issued corrective actions. Engage cross-functional departments, key leadership, and operational teams to address deficiencies identified by accreditors or internal reviews within the required timeline.
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure policies, personnel training, and resources remain current with evolving accreditation standards.
Develop and deliver clear, actionable communications to business leadership and internal stakeholders regarding accreditation requirements, changes, and impact assessments.
Participate in delegation audits and external regulatory reviews, preparing and supplying documentation and analysis as required.
Identify opportunities to streamline accreditation processes, reduce manual effort, and implement scalable solutions that support Amazon Pharmacy's growth.
Perform other duties assigned by leadership.
A day in the life
A Regulatory Risk Manager's day varies but largely consists of tasks such as reviewing updated accreditation standards, tracking corrective action plans, coordinating documentation requests across pharmacy operations, creating and implementing programs that drive continuous improvement across pharmacy accreditation and regulatory operations, and/or preparing for upcoming audits and site inspections

They spend significant time partnering with cross-functional stakeholders - Quality, Compliance, Legal, and Pharmacy Operations - to ensure policies and procedures align with accrediting body requirements. The role blends project management with regulatory expertise, requiring the ability to pivot between strategic planning (like renewal timelines) and tactical execution (like responding to surveyor findings or updating standard operating procedures).
About the team
The Amazon Pharmacy Accreditation team, part of the Regulatory Operations team, manages the relationship between Amazon Pharmacy and external accrediting bodies such as URAC, NABP, and LegitScript. The team owns standard interpretations, navigates accreditation applications and renewals,
and conducts internal reviews of pharmacy operations to ensure sustained compliance

They also partner cross-functionally with Compliance, Pharmacy Operations, Learning, and Legal to integrate accreditation-defined best practices into company policies and procedures.
