We are adding to our Construction Project Engineering team with career growth into Project Management and other operations roles. Project Coordination
  • Assist with planning, project coordination, and documentation of project activities for one or more construction projects. Coordinate activities and technical documentation for both subcontracted and self-performed scopes.
  • Review submittals and drawings to keep work aligned with plans, specs, and schedule.
  • Maintain organized, accurate project documentation, logs, and record drawings.
  • Communicate contract changes and clarifications clearly across project partners.
  • Support change order review, material verification, and procurement.
  • Track productivity and build strong scope and cost fluency.
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules and deliveries to keep work flowing smoothly.

Quality & Closeout
  • Assist with QA/QC inspections and support Indoor Air Quality and Waste Management programs.
  • Coordinate project closeout, including punch lists and owner turnover.

Collaboration & Communication
  • Actively participate in and contribute to project meetings, safety walks, and Pull Planning sessions.
  • Take meeting minutes and assist with resolving open issues by coordinating and communicating technical information efficiently between teams.

Safety
  • Champion Sellen's Corporate Safety Program and help the team stay proactive and consistent
    Maintain jobsite safety documentation as needed.

Growth Path
  • Project Engineers have career pathways to Senior and/or Technical Engineering, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, Estimating, and Quality.

What You bring....
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred).
  • 2+ years' experience or an equivalent combination of education that includes construction management responsibilities, internships in commercial construction, project administration and document management, sustainability or quality control and compliance, or other construction-related duties requiring a working knowledge of different building systems.

Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and the full suite of applications in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with document control and revision software. (BlueBeam preferred).
  • Working knowledge of 3D design software programs. (AutoDesk Building Design Suite preferred).

Skills:
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Communication skills; great verbal communication, solid written communication, and exceptional interpersonal communication.

  • Communicate comfortably and effectively with new and diverse groups of people.

  • Provide guidance, direction, and coaching to members of the project team.

  • This position works at active construction sites in the greater Seattle area and requires occasional travel to attend jobsite meetings or trainings.

The full pay range for this position is $84,000 to $100,000. New hires typically start between $84,000 and $92,000, depending on experience. Sellen's bonus plan is funded based on company performance and awarded based on individual performance, and the bonus target for this role is 5% of salary.
