Job description

LHP Engineering Solutions is a global Functional Safety leader committed to creating safe transportation with developing technologies such as Electric Vehicles and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. At LHP we ensure Functional Safety and Cyber Security development of these systems and technologies by leveraging our core expertise with widely accepted standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO26262, ASPICE, ISO/SAE 21434.

This is a hybrid role located in and collaborating with our team in Goleta, CA.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen.

Job Summary:

Software design and development of calibration and test software for our infrared sensing systems; also, development of production support software and systems. Participation in every phase of a project: requirements review, software design and coding, unit testing, system integration and sustaining engineering.

Job Qualifications:

10+ years of experience with C, C# and/or C++ programming

Experience developing in Visual Studio is highly desired

Experience programming in an SQL Server environment is highly desired

Experience testing equipment in thermal chambers highly desired

Understanding of embedded, multi-threaded software design and implementation is very helpful. (e.g. embedded Linux, RTEMs, etc.)

Ability to understand both the hardware and software components of the embedded systems under test

Excellent knowledge of hardware subsystems and common peripheral buses I2C, SPI, USB

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Ability to setup various tool chains, build and debugging environments and use of debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc. is very helpful

Experience with infrared and/or visible imaging technologies, image acquisition and processing is desired but not required

Experience testing high volume products is helpful.

Ability to design software in a manner that reduces test time is highly desired.

Experience using AI tools for software development in a commercial product is required.

Education

BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering, EE, Mathematics, Physics or related or equivalent relevant work experience.
