Job description

Our team builds and supports products and applications for AWS sellers while managing large-scale infrastructure across first-party (1P) and third-party (3P) platforms.
The AWS Field Experience (AFX) , Revenue Lifecycle Automation and Intelligence (RAIn) team is seeking a passionate, innovative, and results oriented Software Development Engineer III to design, architect, and build scalable solutions that empower our field teams

You'll bring industry best practices and standards to solve complex business problems, define meaningful metrics, and create systems that operate reliably at scale.
As an SDE III on the AFX team, you will architect and build critical solutions using the latest AWS technologies to innovate in its Revenue Lifecycle and Private Pricing area. You'll deliver mission-critical capabilities to field teams, embedding operational knowledge and encoding best practices into every solution you create. Your role will involve driving technical excellence by defining architecture standards, implementing scalable designs, and solving complex business challenges that enable our field organization to operate effectively at scale

As part of the broader AWS Sales and Marketing organization, you'll collaborate across teams to contribute to cloud strategy and potentially influence future AWS products, while also leading and mentoring other engineers and establishing technical direction for the team.

Lead Technical Strategy and Architecture - Define technical strategies and roadmaps spanning multiple teams, investigating and developing strategies to frame solution sets when the business problem is known but the technical strategy is not yet defined.
Mentor and Develop Engineering Talent - Lead process creation and improvement projects while mentoring and coaching less experienced members of the organization.
Design and Deliver Complex Solutions - Work on complex problems with multiple risks and roadblocks, designing and architecting cross-functional solutions.
Drive Operational Excellence - Ensure operational excellence by identifying opportunities for automation, leading operational support, and resolving root causes of issues.
Influence Cross-Team Collaboration - Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and partner teams to convert business needs into technical designs while building consensus.
Deliver High-Quality, Scalable Software - Apply expertise in software engineering, agile methodology, and test-driven design to accomplish complex work assignments autonomously.
