Job description
Build the consoles that customers around the world rely on to run DNS and route traffic at global scale, where you can also own and launch new AI services in the DNS and Route 53 space. As an SDE on the Amazon Route 53 DevEx and Console team, you will work across the full stack on some of the most heavily used experiences in the AWS Console, and you will help define what our customers use next.
We are based in Vancouver, BC, and we own the consoles for every customer facing Route 53 service. This is a full stack role
You will build the web experiences customers use every day and the services and APIs behind them, and your work will reach across more than 10 service teams and the product managers, designers, and engineers you partner with throughout AWS networking. AI is central to how we work and what we build, from the tools we use to ship faster to the intelligent features we put in front of customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate full stack features for the Route 53 consoles, from the web experiences customers use to the services and APIs that power them.
- Build customer facing web experiences with modern frontend frameworks that are fast, accessible, and easy to use.
- Own and build new AI services and capabilities in the DNS and Route 53 space, taking them from idea to launch.
- Bring the latest AI tools and techniques into how the team designs, builds, and ships software.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers across more than 10 service teams in networking organizations throughout AWS.
- Turn requirements that are ambiguous and change quickly into products customers rely on.
A day in the life
Our customers are the developers and businesses who use Route 53 to manage DNS and route traffic for their applications around the world, and our job is to make that easy, reliable, and fast from the AWS Console. No two days look the same
You might start the morning designing a new Console workflow with a product manager and a designer, pair with another engineer on the API that powers it before lunch, and spend the afternoon prototyping an AI feature to help customers troubleshoot a misconfigured domain. Some days you go deep on the frontend, other days you are building backend services or trying out a new AI tool. You review code, help decide what the team builds next, and partner with service teams across AWS networking to ship features that reach customers everywhere.
When a hackathon idea grabs you, there is room to chase it.
About the team
We are a tight knit team that cares about our customers and about running a highly available platform on the Internet. We like to experiment and to learn out loud, whether that is a hackathon, a demo of something you just built, or a session digging into a new AI tool together. We are good at making sense of ambiguity and shipping products people rely on, and we welcome bold ideas and give you the ownership to take them all the way
And when we are not building, we make time to have fun together with regular team outings.
If you want to work on hard problems at scale and help decide where an AWS service goes next, we would like to hear from you.
