To support Amazon LEO, the Ground Infrastructure Services (GIS) Physical Security Team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive the delivery of complex, cross-functional physical security programs across a rapidly expanding global network of ground terminal sites. The GIS Physical Security team is responsible for protecting people, assets, and critical services by leveraging security technologies, risk management approaches, and robust operational procedures to safeguard infrastructure to enable the next-generation satellite communications.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will own the lifecycle of physical security programs that span multiple organizations and geographies, defining program strategy, setting measurable objectives, and driving teams to deliver

You will manage roadmaps for security technology deployments, policy development, and operational improvements-partnering with engineering, construction, and regional security teams to prioritize initiatives, make smart trade-offs, and ensure architectures scale to meet the demands of a growing global footprint. This role requires you to solve ambiguous problems, proactively identify and mitigate risks, align business and technical stakeholders through crisp decision-making, and communicate progress effectively to senior leadership. You will also author and maintain security policies, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks that codify best practices and ensure consistent performance across all regions.
Key job responsibilities
Program & Strategy Ownership: Own the end-to-end lifecycle and strategy of complex cross-functional programs, defining mission, setting objectives, and driving measurable outcomes aligned to organizational goals.
Technical Leadership & Decision-Making: Apply deep technical judgment to question proposals, make smart trade-offs, and ensure system architectures scale to meet long-term business needs.
Policy & Standards Development - Author and maintain security policies, standard operating procedures, guidelines, and governance frameworks that codify best practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable consistent execution across the program.
Stakeholder Alignment & Communication: Drive alignment between business and technical stakeholders through crisp decision-making, clear prioritization, and effective executive-level communication.
Vendor and Partner Management: Support with developing mechanisms for managing vendors including RFQ/quoting standards, purchase order workflows, performance expectations, and quality acceptance criteria - and drive vendor accountability at the program level.
Risk Management & Operational Excellence: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, close gaps between teams and systems, and reduce exposure to classic failure modes before they become roadblocks.
Process Improvement & Delivery: Streamline processes, decouple dependencies, and drive teams to deliver large, complex projects with speed and minimal guidance.
