What is an Amazon reviewer?

An Amazon Reviewer is someone who evaluates and writes reviews about products sold on Amazon. Some reviewers purchase items independently, while others may receive free or discounted products in exchange for honest feedback. Amazon has strict guidelines to ensure reviews remain unbiased and authentic. Reviewers can influence potential buyers' decisions by sharing their experiences with products. However, fake or misleading reviews violate Amazon's policies and can result in penalties.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of an Amazon reviewer?

As an Amazon Reviewer, your main responsibilities include testing products you receive, carefully evaluating their features and performance, and writing clear, unbiased reviews based on your experiences. You'll spend time researching products, taking notes or photos, and ensuring your feedback complies with Amazon’s community guidelines. Reviews should be honest, thorough, and posted in a timely manner. Collaboration is usually limited, as most reviewing work is independent, but you may sometimes communicate with vendors, brands, or Amazon’s support team for clarifications. This role is ideal if you enjoy independent work, trying new products, and providing valuable insights to shoppers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Amazon reviewer position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Amazon Reviewer, you need strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment, usually supported by experience with e-commerce platforms and product evaluation. Familiarity with Amazon's review guidelines, proficiency in using Amazon's website and mobile apps, and some knowledge of content management systems are often advantageous. Objectivity, reliability, and time management are critical soft skills for consistently producing helpful and timely reviews. These skills ensure your feedback is trusted by consumers, complies with platform standards, and supports informed purchasing decisions for others.

How do you become an Amazon reviewer?

To become an Amazon reviewer, you need to create an Amazon account and start purchasing products. After making purchases, you can leave reviews based on your experience, and active, helpful reviewers may gain more visibility and credibility over time.

Job description

Power that runs the world | Discover careers in Operations
Operations roles at Amazon put you at the center of how things move from a click to a doorstep. You'll help design, improve, and run systems that connect people, products, and places, at scale. You'll take ownership early, work closely with teams to solve real-world challenges, and see the direct results of your decisions as they reach customers every day.

Here, the impact of what you build isn't abstract, it's visible, immediate, and meaningful - keeping one of the world's most complex operations moving forward. This is where your journey takes shape through action, responsibility, and the opportunity to grow in many directions.
This is not a corporate, remote or office-based position.

This is a ten-week internship (40 hours per week) during the summer of 2027 located within one of Amazon's fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations or other operations buildings. Amazon is seeking customer focused individuals eager to develop a collaborative leadership style with a team of hourly employees across our Operations network. Our warehouses are fast-paced supply chain environments where standing, walking, and having on-the-production floor conversations are common.

As an Area Manager Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn how to coach, motivate and mentor a team of Amazon associates in a warehouse environment. Amazon provides extensive training and development to become an exceptional people leader. Your main focus will be learning to manage a team as well as developing a summer project in partnership with your site leadership.

Term: 10 weeks
Benefits: Access to Amazon's Medical Advice Line, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and financial benefits.
Visit www.aboutamazon.com/workplace/facilities to find more information on each of our building types.
Please note we are not able to provide sponsorship now or in the future for these positions

Eligible candidates must have work authorization without employer intervention to be considered.
This posting encompasses all openings in the state(s) listed in title. Site placement is matched by aligning your location preferences with location availability after your interview.

Summer relocation and housing assistance provided if eligible.
Key job responsibilities
Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs

While shifts vary site to site, most follow a fixed 4-day work week with 3 days off.
Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (at applicable facilities) and step in as needed.
Work in an environment where the noise level varies.

Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
Climb and descend stairs (when applicable).
A day in the life
As an Area Manager intern, no two days look exactly the same, but every shift gives you the chance to learn how to lead a team, solve real problems, and directly impact how millions of customers receive their orders.
Start of Shift: Set the Tone
Shadow a current Area Manager and begin to:
Get a handoff from the outgoing manager and review what's carrying over so nothing falls through the cracks.
Lead a team huddle to kick off the shift. Huddles are used to align on goals, safety priorities, and key focus areas.
Confirm your team is in place, positioned for success, and ready to go before operations begin.
Middle of Shift: Lead from the Floor
Walk the floor regularly to stay connected to your team, spot issues early, and keep things running smoothly.
Drive results across safety, quality, and productivity - balancing all three in real time.
Adjust staffing and resources as volume and priorities shift throughout the day.
Coach and develop your team members, respond to challenges as they come up, and partner with support teams to remove roadblocks.
Keep peers and leadership informed on how the shift is tracking and flag risks before they become problems.
Develop your internship project.
End of Shift: Close Strong
Do a final walkthrough to make sure your area is clean, organized, and set up for the next team's success.
Review your shift's performance data and capture what went well and what to improve
Hand off to the incoming manager with a clear picture of priorities, open items, and next steps.
Wrap up any remaining administrative tasks so you leave the shift with a clean slate.
Every shift, you'll see the direct results of your leadership: from the energy of your team to the packages that reach customers' doorsteps

This is where your decisions have real, visible impact.
