Job description

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
We are seeking an enterprising attorney with an interest in government contracts and related transactions to join the Amazon Leo Legal team.
Some travel may be required.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S

Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
Key job responsibilities
- Review and analyze government contract solicitations and proposals
- Draft and negotiate subcontracts and technology development agreements
- Provide guidance on intellectual property matters and export control compliance
- Develop creative, business-centric strategies for complex legal issues
- Design scalable processes that balance risk management with business agility
A day in the life
In this role, you'll collaborate daily with Amazon Leo business teams, engineers, and program managers to provide real-time legal guidance on government contract opportunities. You'll review solicitation documents, draft and negotiate subcontracts, and advise on compliance requirements for space technology projects

You'll participate in cross-functional meetings to assess legal risks and develop creative solutions that enable the business to move quickly while maintaining compliance.
