Job description

Are you excited about building the tools and experiences that make Amazon's customer data usable by everyone - from engineering teams to customers themselves. Customer360 is Amazon's central customer memory system, standardizing behavioral and profile data from across Stores, Prime Video, Music, Kindle, Audible, Alexa, and other Amazon surfaces.
C360 Discovery owns the customer-facing side of that platform: the console and self-service tools that let any team at Amazon adopt C360 in minutes, and About You lets customers see and manage what Amazon knows about them. We're looking for a Software Development Engineer to drive C360 onboarding via a self-service, console-driven experience, build simulation and prototyping tools so teams can preview their personalized CX before writing integration code, and shape the customer-facing front door to every customer's data.
Key job responsibilities
Design, build, and operate the C360 Console - a widely-used internal tool teams rely on to explore, integrate with, and manage customer data
Build self-service onboarding flows that let client teams adopt C360 in minutes, comparable to a modern AWS console experience
Create simulation and prototyping tools so teams can preview their personalized customer experience before they integrate
Develop customer-facing experiences that let Amazon customers see, understand, and manage their own data
Partner with 100+ teams across Amazon to accelerate adoption of the C360 platform
Own features end to end - design, implementation, worldwide launch, and operations - including on-call for customer-facing and Tier 1 surfaces
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing feedback from a team that just onboarded through the self-service console, then pick up a design for a simulation feature that lets teams preview their personalized experience before integrating

After lunch, you review a teammate's pull request on the customer-facing data portal and pair on a tricky UX flow. Later you sync with a partner team eager to adopt C360, walking them through the console and unblocking their integration. Before wrapping up, you push a fix for a console bug and update docs so the next team has a smoother path.
About the team
C360 Discovery is one of the three pillars of Amazon's Customer360 platform, and we own its customer-facing side, both internal and external

Our mission is to make C360 discoverable for every team at Amazon and every Amazon customer. We build the console and self-service tools that turn a complex platform integration into a few clicks, and About You, the experiences that let customers see and manage what Amazon knows about them. We're a high-ownership team within Amazon Personalization that values pragmatic engineering, great developer and customer experience, and a collaborative culture where everyone shapes the product.

Amazon.com, Inc., commonly known as Amazon, is an American multinational technology company. It was founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994 and initially started as an online marketplace for books. Since then, Amazon has expanded its operations and become one of the largest e-commerce companies in the world. Amazon's primary business is its online retail platform, where customers can purchase a vast array of products, including electronics, clothing, books, home goods, and much more. The company offers a convenient and user-friendly shopping experience, with features such as fast shipping, customer reviews, and personalized recommendations. In addition to its e-commerce platform, Amazon has diversified its business into various other areas. AWS has become a leader in the cloud computing industry, powering many websites and applications worldwide. Amazon has also developed its own consumer electronics, including the popular Amazon Kindle e-reader, Fire tablets, Fire TV streaming devices, and the Alexa-powered Echo smart speakers. Furthermore, Amazon has expanded into media and entertainment. It operates Prime Video, a streaming service that offers a wide range of movies, TV shows, and original content. Amazon Music provides a platform for streaming and purchasing digital music, while Audible offers audiobooks and other audio content.
