How to get hired for Amazon Relay?

To get hired as an Amazon Relay owner-operator, you need to register your trucking business, meet Amazon's vehicle and safety requirements, and pass a background check. You must also have valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or operating authority and insurance coverage. Once approved, you can access loads through the Amazon Relay app and start hauling freight according to their scheduling and compliance standards.

What are typical work schedules like for Amazon Relay Owner Operators?

As an Amazon Relay Owner Operator, you generally have the flexibility to choose your loads and set your own work schedule, allowing you to balance personal commitments with business goals. However, you'll need to carefully plan routes and delivery times to meet Amazon's on-time requirements, which can sometimes mean working nights, weekends, or holidays depending on demand. Most Owner Operators find that their workload varies week to week based on seasonal demands and available freight. Efficient time management and proactive scheduling are key to maximizing income and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While the role offers independence, meeting deadlines and delivering excellent service remain essential for ongoing success.

Familiarity with transportation management systems, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and Amazon Relay’s load-booking platform is essential. Strong time management, self-motivation, and customer service skills help set you apart in this role. These competencies ensure safe and efficient delivery, compliance with industry regulations, and successful operation of your independent trucking business within Amazon’s network.

Proper licensing, insurance, and adherence to safety standards are also necessary for participation.

Job description

About Formlabs:
Do you want to change how the world creates?
At Formlabs, we're building the tools that make it possible for anyone to bring their ideas to life, from cutting-edge products to life-saving medical devices. Our 3D printing technology powers innovation at more than 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA. Together, we're helping everyone design, prototype, and manufacture faster than ever before.
We're a team of hands-on builders, engineers, and innovators reinventing how the world makes physical things. If you're ready to shape the future of fabrication, come build it with us.
Your Impact:
We're looking for a Senior Manager, Global Amazon Marketplace to own Formlabs' presence and growth on Amazon across nearly every marketplace we operate in - North America, Europe, Japan, Australia, and beyond.
As the Senior Manager, Global Amazon Marketplace, you'll be the global owner of our Amazon channel and its P&L. You'll define the strategy - what we sell, where, and how - across catalog, content, advertising, pricing, and inventory, and turn Amazon into a scalable, profitable growth engine for both our professional and prosumer product lines. This is a senior, high-ownership individual-contributor role: you'll set the multi-year roadmap, make the build-vs-partner and 1P-vs-3P calls, represent the channel to marketing and commercial leadership, and manage the agency and tooling relationships needed to scale. You'll navigate the realities of selling a premium, considered-purchase hardware product on a velocity-driven marketplace, across a dozen-plus geographies, currencies, and regulatory environments.
What You'll Do:
  • Own the global Amazon P&L across all active marketplaces (US, CA, MX, UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, NL, JP, AU, and expansion markets), including revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Set the multi-year marketplace strategy and roadmap: which SKUs and product lines to list in which geos, when and how to enter new marketplaces, and Seller vs. Vendor Central approach per region.
  • Own the full catalog and listing experience - titles, A+ / Enhanced Brand Content, Brand Store, imagery, variations, and localization - directing our creative and product marketing partners.
  • Set and manage the Amazon Advertising strategy (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display, DSP) to hit efficiency and growth goals, integrated with the broader paid media plan.
  • Own pricing, promotions, and deal calendars (Prime Day, seasonal events) in a way that protects brand equity and channel health across our DTC, B2B, and reseller ecosystem.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain on FBA/FBM strategy, inventory forecasting, cross-border fulfillment, and account health across geos.
  • Define the measurement framework for the channel and report performance, risks, and recommendations directly to marketing and commercial leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional programs across ecommerce, lifecycle, creative, product, legal, and regional sales to launch new products on Amazon and keep the experience consistent with formlabs.com.
  • Own global Amazon account integrity and compliance - Brand Registry, IP/counterfeit enforcement, and marketplace policy across regions.
  • Build and manage the operating model for the channel - agency partners, tooling, and cross-functional workflows - scaling through influence and partnership rather than headcount.

About You:
  • 8+ years managing Amazon marketplaces at scale, including multi-geography or global responsibility, preferably for a hardware, electronics, or considered-purchase brand.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a channel P&L, with a track record of driving profitable growth and making the strategic calls (1P/3P, marketplace expansion, build vs. partner).
  • Deep, hands-on expertise across Seller Central and/or Vendor Central, Amazon Advertising, Brand Registry, and A+ content.
  • Strong commercial and analytical instincts - you can model unit economics, size opportunities, and translate marketplace data into decisions and narratives for leadership.
  • Experience operating across multiple marketplaces, currencies, and localization requirements.
  • Experience influencing and aligning senior cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders without direct authority; comfort building operating models and managing agencies and vendors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong bias for action and comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong curiosity about our customer base, product, and technology.
  • Experience with ecommerce and analytics tooling (e.g., Shopify, Google Analytics, BigQuery) and Amazon-native tools (e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Pacvue, or similar) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cross-border trade, marketplace tax/compliance, and 3P/reseller dynamics is a plus.

Why Join Us?
  • Be part of an innovative company at the forefront of the 3D printing industry.
  • Collaborate with a team of passionate, driven professionals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoy a culture that values creativity, learning, and delivering excellence.

Our Benefits & Perks:
  • Robust equity program to build future wealth through RSUs
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • 401K matching and access to financial advisors
  • Generous paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks)
  • Tenure-based paid Sabbatical Leave (up to 6 weeks)
  • Flexible Out of Office Plan - Take time when you need it
  • Ample on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Healthy on-site lunches, snacks, beverages, & treats
  • Regular sponsored professional development opportunities
  • Many opt-in culture events across our diverse community
  • And of course... unlimited 3D prints

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Compensation
We are all owners of Formlabs and direct beneficiaries of our success. We believe that equity is a critical component of compensation at Formlabs, and we want our newest team members to understand the potential value of their equity compensation. Full time employees receive equity, in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance to your impact.

The annual base pay range for this role is:
$140,000-$170,000 USD
