Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer who develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upondocumented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components foradherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes softwaredevelopment and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input tothe software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, use of CommercialOff-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis andsynthesis from system level to individual software components.
  • Implement data pipelines at scale, including both the synthesizing of new pipelines and the refactoring of existingpipelines to improve efficiency and code correctness
  • Monitor and improve existing data science tools in support of transition from development to production systems
  • Design, implement, and enhance ML analytics using a wide variety of Python libraries including, but limited to, PyTorch,NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn
  • Train, test, track and curate models using standard tools and practices
  • Integrate GitOps for continuous integration and deployment of models using Docker scaling
  • Use AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS for building and deploying applications
  • Integrate model and tool outputs within Computer Network Defense (CND) systems and/or software tools to enhance,implement, and maintain the Security Management/Monitoring services and capabilities within the Agency IT Enterprise
  • Document all processes and code; provide comprehensive reports on the completed tasks

This position may allow for partial telework.
Clearance
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
Experience
Seven (7) years' experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
