Job description

We're on a journey to build advertising products that help advertisers reach their desired audiences and also delight our end users who use Amazon devices and 1P application such as Fire TV by serving them relevant Ads. We're looking for a talented senior TPM to drive complex, cross-organization goals to deliver innovative Ad experiences to our end users.
Key job responsibilities
The right candidate will possess strong technical skills and have demonstrated experience in collaborating with teams who own medium to large distributed services. You must be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. You must be able to communicate up, down, and out to both technical and business audiences. You must be able to successfully drive, architect and scale services based on the program vision, anticipate bottlenecks, and balance business needs against technical constraints. You must take complex challenges and break them down into manageable projects, then work with technologists to prototype and engineering to deliver them in a successful and timely manner. You must be able to de-risk situations by taking a pragmatic approach and be willing to take calculated bets.
This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal) with senior management on status, risks and strategy. Qualified candidates must have experience collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features; as well as analyze the cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization. In this role you would be interfacing with your immediate multi-discipline team, building relationships with partners across Amazon (ex. Advertising core stack, FireTV, Prime Video, Alexa, and other Devices) and communicate across diverse areas of the org (e.g., legal, finance). You own your projects end-to-end and help build and refine exciting new Ad experiences for Amazon.
A day in the life
As a Sr. Technical Program Manager on this team, you will lead the technical planning, coordination, architecture, and implementation of multiple projects within a program. You will manage the full lifecycle of a project starting with technical requirements, system design planning, stakeholder alignment, implementation, and production rollout. You will work alongside Program Managers, Product Managers, and engineers. You will collaborate with teams across Amazon on the planning and execution of complex and highly-technical projects with high impact and visibility.
About the team
This role is in the Entertainment, Device & Grocery ad Experiences (EDGE) team, which is part of the Amazon Publisher Monetization (APM) organization. Our team has a vision to create innovative Ad experiences on Amazon Devices, providing customers better convenience and more selection.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
