Job description

Gravity Research is looking for a Design & Marketing Manager who can turn smart ideas and rigorous research into marketing that gets noticed and gets results. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for a creative marketer who is equally comfortable sharpening a pitch deck, launching a campaign, bringing a new product to market, and experimenting with AI to make great work happen faster.

Gravity Research is a premier insights firm helping leading companies protect their reputations with forward-looking research and analysis. Our mission is to empower organizations to anticipate risk, spot opportunities, and rationalize reputational concerns against a backdrop of evolving public pressures.

The Role
Gravity Research is seeking a Design & Marketing Manager to own the company's marketing execution, sales enablement, and visual design across our research products. This role sits within our Revenue division and works closely with revenue leadership to support brand positioning through polished, on-brand marketing assets. This position will also support new go-to-market efforts as Gravity expands its product suite.

You will partner closely with leaders across Revenue, Research, and Content to keep our marketing engine running. This role is expected to be AI-fluent, leveraging the latest tools to drive consistency and efficiency across design and production workflows.

This is a hands-on ownership role for someone who can operate independently, manage competing deadlines, and produce work that looks sharp and moves fast.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Sales Collateral - Serve as the primary designer and producer of pitch decks, one-pagers, and supporting materials; scope needs with revenue leadership and keep materials current

  • New Product Go-to-Market - Craft compelling framing and collateral to bring new Gravity products and services to existing and prospective audiences

  • Brand-Led Email Campaigns - Write, design, and deploy HubSpot campaigns tied to monthly research releases and timely data cuts; manage suppressions, deployment timing, and post-send engagement reporting for revenue team use

  • Visual Identity - Maintain brand consistency across all marketing surfaces; bring design judgment to everything we put in front of clients and prospects

  • Marketing Operations - Manage HubSpot workflows, CRM hygiene, reporting, and analytics administration in close partnership with the Revenue team and Senior Research Director, Content Strategy; own website updates and LinkedIn presence

  • AI-Powered Workflows - Apply AI tools to accelerate design, editing, and production; experiment with new solutions to improve workflow efficiency across the marketing function

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate brings strong design instincts, marketing operations experience, and the self-direction to own multiple workstreams without close oversight. They know how to make data-driven research look credible and compelling to an executive audience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B marketing, digital marketing, or design - ideally at a research, consulting, or media company

  • Strong writing and editing skills; comfort creating content across formats and platforms

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator), Canva, or equivalent design tools

  • Proficiency with HubSpot (campaign management, forms, reporting); CRM experience preferred

  • Design sensibility calibrated for executive audiences - clean, credible, not decorative

  • Strong project management skills; able to juggle competing deadlines independently

  • Comfort experimenting with AI tools to improve design and production workflows

  • Prodigious work ethic and spirit of generosity

$75,000 - $85,000 a year

The salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 (commensurate with experience).

Start Date: Available immediately

Application Deadline: September 1, 2026

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: This job is based in Washington, DC. Gravity Research operates on a hybrid schedule, with employees required to be in the office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. During the month of August 2026, Gravity Research teams will be fully remote.

About Us
Across Gravity Research, generally, the firm looks for three "pillar gifts" in you, and everyone else.  In all of us, these are more aspirational than actual, but they are central in our intentions -

Force of Ideas: At the center of Gravity Research's work are the ideas within our work. We believe that ideas-the good and not-have consequences. Our ultimate objective is to bring rigor, insight, and intellectual honesty to the goal of separating the bad from the good, and giving voice, argument, and flight to maintaining the latter.

Spirit of Generosity:  Gravity Research seeks in its ranks a spirit of generosity: a natural disposition in each colleague toward service and selfless conduct. Our writing should be cut from the same cloth-critical on the merits, but informed by charity and forbearance in measuring motive and personal character.

Radical Responsibility: We give our people a lot of responsibility early on, and our top performers embrace it. We believe in holding ourselves and our colleagues accountable, taking ownership over big things, striving for excellence, and celebrating success.

Gravity Research is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate against our applicants because of race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable law.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
