Job description

Location: Quincy, MA Salary: $55.00 USD Hourly - $62.00 USD Hourly Description: Responsibilities
  • MMIS operations support in a 24x7 production environment
  • Monitor applications and batch processes; resolve production issues quickly
  • Troubleshoot application issues and interface failures with cross-functional teams
  • Participate in incident bridge calls and document RCA/resolution steps
  • Track/report system health, job performance, SLA compliance
  • Maintain/update operational documentation and issue logs
  • Coordinate planned maintenance (patching, deployments, hardware upgrades)
  • Support monitoring tools and alerting systems for proactive detection
  • Generate/validate MMIS operational and performance reports
  • Review incident/service desk metrics; recommend process improvements
  • Collaborate with vendors and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues
  • Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and migrations (SDLC/Agile)
  • Communicate production issues and maintenance windows to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, security policies, and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to optimize system reliability and efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years IT experience with operations and data analysis
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud, hosting environments
  • Understanding of enterprise applications design and architecture
  • Experience with data exchange mechanisms and structures
  • Monitoring alerts/system health metrics for uptime assurance
  • Use of APM/log management tools (Amazon CloudWatch, Dynatrace, etc.)
  • Knowledge of server environments (Linux/Unix, Windows Server)
  • Experience administering enterprise software/web servers (Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic)
  • Proficiency in Oracle/SQL queries for backend validation
  • Knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, and data exchange
  • Workflow documentation and ticket management (Jira)
  • RCA on production defects and failed processes
  • Experience with file exchange protocols (sftp)
  • Requirement documentation and technical specifications development
  • Web service validation/testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)
  • Health insurance business knowledge (interface design, data structures, transactions)
  • Strong business analysis skills across SDLC
