Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Cloud System Administrator to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. Our team delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. This effort supports the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, which oversees MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT)the backbone platform for all enterprise users. Responsibilities include: • Manage and maintain server infrastructure in a hybrid environment (on-premises and AWS cloud). • Administer and troubleshoot Linux (Amazon Linux 2023, RHEL 8/9) and Windows Server (2016/2022) systems. • Configure and manage core services such as Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy. • Deploy, configure and maintain security related services such as McAfee/Trelix agents and ePO, Tenable Nessus agents and Bigfix • Utilize automation and scripting tools like Salt, BASH, Python, and Ansible to streamline operations. • Support and maintain security posture by addressing IAVAs and ensuring compliance with security standards. • Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex technical issues. • Collaborate with other teams to design, implement, and maintain system solutions Minimum Qualifications: • 14+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Cloud Engineer supporting programs of similar scope and complexity. • Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline: an additional 5 years of related experience might be substituted for a degree • Must hold an IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent). If you don't have this, you'll be required to obtain it within 60 days of your program start date. • AWS and other cloud technologies. • Amazon Linux 2023, Linux RHEL 8/9, Windows Server 2016/2022. • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Proficiency with automation and configuration management tools like AWS Packer, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible. • Experience with monitoring and security tools such as Splunk and Bigfix. • Familiarity with DevOps tools like GitLab and GitLab CI/CD. • Experience in data flow management using NiFi. • Experience with Windows-specific services, including IIS, certificate services, and federated services. • Strong background in security compliance and IAVA remediation. Clearance Requirements: • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph Physical Requirements: • The candidate must be able to move, carry, and deliver workstations from the office to customer desks • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time • Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual meetings, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
