Responsibilities

Peraton is building a pipeline of qualified IT professionals to support Florida state government programs in Tallahassee, FL. We are seeking candidates across multiple disciplines including application development, systems administration, architecture, and software programming.

Responsibilities will vary based on role but may include:

Applications Development Analyst / Systems Software Programmer

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and software solutions
  • Support system enhancements, integrations, and troubleshooting activities
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions

Systems Administrator

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and infrastructure
  • Monitor system performance, security, and availability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues

Systems Architect / Applications Architect

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing system architectures
  • Define technical standards, frameworks, and best practices

Qualifications

Qualifications will vary based on role

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or an Associates degree and 7 years of experience or a High School Diploma/equivalent and 9 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Minimum of 5 to 12 years of experience depending on role and level
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Application development and software engineering
    • Systems administration or infrastructure support
    • Systems or application architecture
    • Software programming and development
  • Experience working in enterprise IT environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be local to Tallahassee, Florida

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting state or government environments
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, or ITIL processes
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
